Patience

James 1:2-4 (NKJV)
Profiting from Trials

[2] My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, [3] knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. [4] But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Trials are not exciting or easy to go through at times. Yet, it is our trials that make us who we are. Trials, if handled correctly will build up patience. For instance, when someone treats us wrong, disrespects us or causes us pain. We have a choice on how we will respond. Will we forgive and love the person in return? Will we hold on to anger and resentment for what they did? It can take time to forgive someone for a wrong they committed against us. Though if we learn from this trial we will develop patience for the next person who wrongs us. If we do not learn to forgive and hold on to unforgiveness, we then may become poisonous in our words and actions to others. The pain we hold on to inside can be what hurts those around us.

It is wisdom to let go of offense. It is wisdom to learn from a trial we face. For in so doing, we are becoming more like Jesus. For Jesus received unsurmountable unfair treatment and did not hold on to offense. Not one person asked Jesus to be forgiven as nails were being driven into His body. He chose to forgive and walk in patience.

Let patience have her perfect work. This way you too can walk like Jesus.

Thus Says The LORD,

My child, I understand the pain that comes against all My children. I know the hurt each person experiences. I know the difficulty in wanting to forgive someone who has hurt you.

My desire is for all My children to walk in love and forgive every person. Not everyone is going to ask to be forgiven, nor even acknowledge they have done something wrong. Though, My love does not hold onto an offense.

I allow the pain in life to grow each of My children, so they are well equipped to handle trials with patient endurance. By walking in love and handling trials correctly, My love is seen and felt. I am seen in your life.

I am with everyone and walk with those who choose to walk with Me. By being in agreement with My word and following My ways. You are choosing to live a life that pleases Me. In so doing, you are allowing Me to bless you while going through difficult situations.

Do not give up under trials, for I am the God of all creation and I see what each of My children go through. I allow every situation to transpire and have promised to work everything out for your good.

I am a good Father and I love you My child.
