Love Your Brother

1 John 4:20 (NKJV)
Obedience by Faith
[20] If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?

Christian, a word that means Christ like. It is not easy to be like Christ when we have someone hate us. When people around us treat us disrespectfully, or hurt us with their words and actions. It is not easy to love, express forgiveness readily. Though John by the Holy Spirit was led to write this very important passage.

Love is the only thing that will ever show you are a Christian. You are a follower of Jesus. You are set apart for God.

Thus Says The LORD,

My child, I understand when a person is evil and communicates words of hate. I understand discrimination, abuse, rejection, cursing and other offensive actions. Though, these are the very things I have received, even to the point of death.

I know and understand the pain one feels, for I also have felt the same pain. Yet, through all of it, I chose to forgive and express love. It is not easy, though it is necessary.

It is not possible, to truly love Me, when you do not love your neighbor, your brother. It is not possible to love Me, when you only have hate for the person next to you.

I the Living God, call all My people to love those who hurt and abuse them. This is how I am seen in the world. This is how My Spirit changes hearts. My love has to be felt, My love has to been seen.

There is always a blessing I give to those who choose to love, when they are cursed. My grace is sufficient, even in the most painful situations.

Choose to love and you will experience My love. Choose to love and I will make Myself known by My Spirit. Choose love and you will know how My grace is given and My love is felt even to you. I will always be with My people. I will always keep My promise of being with you.
