PROPHECY:

Thus Says The LORD,

I have promised to give My Holy Spirit, to help guide each person who trusts in Me. My desire is to have intimacy with everyone.

By yielding to My Spirit, you will meet conviction, to help you live a lifestyle that pleases Me. This conviction is designed to lead you to repentance. When you truly surrender to My will, you will begin to live a life that is set apart. A life that shows that I, The God of Heaven, is your God.

Love is the foundation to living a life set apart for Me. It is a life that shows, you are truly surrendered to My will. Love calls for brokenness, humility, the surrender of your will. When pain of offense comes, when rejection is felt by another. When you experience emotional, physical, and mental abuse. Love is there to help you heal.

Love is the remedy to finding healing, for when you love, you let go and let Me do what only I can do. It is not possible to love without Me, without My Holy Spirit. Though, when you yield to My Spirit, you are letting Me free you from bondage of offense, hate, unforgiveness, rejection, and so on. You are letting Me express Myself through your life.

Let My love rule in your heart and experience My presence by doing so.

Says The LORD.

MESSAGE:

Romans 12:9-13 (NKJV) [9] Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. [10] Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; [11] not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; [12] rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; [13] distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.

God calls us to a real and sincere love that goes far beyond being hypocritical and polite. Sincere love requires concentration and effort. It means to help others become better people. This type of love demands our time, money, and personal involvement.

Have you ever had a person go out of their way for you? This is a showing of love, as they just spent time to do something they did not plan. They made you a personal priority. This is a type of sincere love.

To understand how to love like God and live a lifestyle pleasing God. We must understand what it means to have a love that is not hypocritical.

Jesus referenced Isaiah 29:13, when he addressed hypocrites in Mark 7:6-7.

Mark 7:6-7 (NKJV) [6] He answered and said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. [7] And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’

This passage is very important because it shows how Jesus sees hypocrites. Those who say He is LORD, though they are not loyal to Him in the heart.

Love is to resonate from our hearts. Jesus stated, Matthew 12:34-36 (NKJV) [34] “Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. [35] “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. [36] “But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.

Jesus is very angry towards those who are evil. He even made it known it was from the heart we are expressing good or evil.

This tells us that love will come from our hearts. So to not have love, or to say we have love but not live a lifestyle of love, which is hypocritical, makes us at enmity against God. We are not real Christians. Love is the foundation to a relationship with Jesus.

We read in 1 John 4:8 (NKJV) [8] He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

God does not have love, He is the essence of love. So, to live with love, means we know God.

Love then is expressed by abhorring evil. What does it mean to abhor something? The word abhor is from the Greek word (Strong’s 655) ἀποστυγέω apóstugeō, ap-os-toog-eh'-o; which means to detest utterly.
:--abhor.

The word detest then can also mean to hate what is evil. The best way to communicate a love without hypocrisy then is to look at Proverbs 8:13 (NKJV) [13] The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate.

What this shows us is that a person who has the Fear of the LORD will detest or hate evil. This type of person would have a pure love for God, as they live a life honoring God. We cannot say we love God when we do not obey God. To obey God, means we love His word, we live a lifestyle yielding to the Holy Spirit. This is the only way to have a change heart and nature.

This change is expressed in our willingness to cling to what is good. Only with a pure love for God, can we be kindly affectionate to someone else, especially someone who has frustrated or offended us.

The Love that God gives, is by His grace, which is given as we repent and welcome Him in our lives as LORD and Savior. This then allows us to welcome His Holy Spirit. This submission, to not seek our own way, rather the will of God in every relationship. Shows that we are truly living a life that honors God. A life that expresses the love of God.

Only by living with the Fear of the LORD, the reverence for God, can we let love rule.

It is not possible to live a life of love without the help of the Holy Spirit. No human can truly love without God’s assistance. People may have good intentions, but love does not come by good intentions. Love is only originated by God for He is love.

If a person could love without God, then life would be completely different. Without the Holy Spirit being evident in the world, the world would not feel love. It is only by the grace of God, that all of us can have a sense of love.

Let’s look at being patient in tribulation from Romans 12:13.

The word patient is the Greek word (strong’s 5278) ὑπομένω hupómenō, hoop-om-en'-o; and it means to stay under (behind), that is, remain; figuratively to undergo, that is, bear (trials), have fortitude, persevere. :--abide, endure, (take) patient (-ly), suffer, tarry behind.

The word tribulation is the Greek word (Strong’s 2347) θλίψις qliyis, thlip'-sis; and it means pressure (literally or figuratively). :--afflicted, (-tion), anguish, burdened, persecution, tribulation, trouble.

Romans 12 is communicating that we should be living a love that expresses the love of God. One way of doing this is our outward expression of remaining in affliction, a place of pressure emotionally, physically, or mentally without allowing bitterness, offense, hatred, anger, and the like be revealed.

No person can do this in their own strength. It literally takes the love of God, by His Holy Spirit to assist a person to undergo such treatment and not retaliate. This is what Jesus is talking about when He said, people honor Him with their lips.

To truly love God, means we are willing to live a life honoring Him in all situations by showing love even when everything around us calls for a different response.

In conclusion, the love that is without hypocrisy, is the love that is hardest to express, for it is the love of God. Jesus is the best example of love.

1 Peter 2:21-23 (NKJV) [21] For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: [22] “Who committed no sin,

Nor was deceit found in His mouth”; [23] who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously;

God knows how difficult it is to love, though He promised to never leave us to ourselves. Rather, Jesus promised to give us the Holy Spirit as mentioned in John 16:13-15 (NKJV) [13] “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. [14] “He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. [15] “All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.

The Holy Spirit is with you and is willing to help you through any situation, so you can please your God. You are a witness and blessing as you yield to the Holy Spirit. For remember, it is only by the help of your God, Yahweh, that you can love the way He loves. You may not do it perfectly, but as we grow in our relationship with God. We become more mature in how to love like Him.
