PROPHECY

Thus Says The LORD,

When you come under temptation, I have promised to be with you. Offenses will come, the opportunity to be hurt will be present. Though My Spirit will always be with you to help you through any situation.

I know how much each person can endure. I see, hear, and understand what everyone goes through. I am in control and will remain in control. I Am the God who set the boundaries for each nation. I Am the God who controls everything on earth. Even when it may seem that I am distant. I am very close at hand.

No person ever endures more than they can handle. I know the limit that one person can receive. Though it may feel like I am not concerned. I am very understanding and aware. I care deeply about each person. I want all people to repent and know Me as God. I desire a relationship with each person. I never intended for any person to live apart from Me.

Though the world is wicked with people continually choosing to live in sin. Reject My way and turn from Me, the God of Heaven. I give all people the freedom to choose how they want to live, all for My glory. It is the sinfulness in a person’s life that leads one to hurt or offend.

The offenses, temptation, and trials you face are opportunities to respond correctly. Every trial that presents itself, is there to test you, to see if you will trust Me, the God of Heaven. Will you trust Me, let My Spirit lead you, help you get through a trial. Or will you choose to sin and shun My Holy Spirit, yielding to hate and vengeance? Every situation that pulls you out of character, a lifestyle of holiness, is also the same situation that can ground in you your love for Me.

Every trial can reveal My love to the world. A love that only I give. I have promised to be with You through everything. I have promised to watch over you and walk beside you, never leaving you nor forsaking you.

Continue to seek Me, the God of creation, Yahweh, and you will know My love and experience My presence. By yielding to My Spirit, you will know how to endure temptation and not give into it.

Says The LORD.

MESSAGE

James 1:2-4 (NKJV)
[2] My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, [3] knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. [4] But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

God is not going to let you endure anything you cannot bear. Every person has a limit. No one is the same when it comes to temptation. One person could be around alcohol while another individual cannot. One individual may have more grace for a thief, while another individual does not.

Every person will endure the pain of offenses. No one is exempt from an offense. Someone at some time will do something that is unfair or selfish. The question is, how will you respond? Will you yield to the Holy Spirit and let God help you respond correctly. Will you trust God for a new job, should your boss let you go for no reason, without any care for your living situation?

God understands all that we go through and has communicated specifically that He will not let a temptation be more than we can endure.

1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV)
[13] No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

God wants us to trust Him. To believe that He will be with us through everything. Knowing that He is in control of our situation and every circumstance. It is not easy; it is not something that we are able to do without Him.

The word temptation in 1 Corinthians 10:13, is the same Greek word used in James 1:2 for trials.

This word is (Strong’s 3986) πειρασμός peirasmós, pi-ras-mos'; a putting to proof (by experiment [of good], experience [of evil], solicitation, discipline or provocation); by implication adversity. :--temptation, try.

This word translates to trials or temptation, literally means to be tested. God chooses to use temptations to test us for the purpose of seeing how we will respond. This might seem like it is out of character or unfair, for why would God test a person when He already knows everything. He does this, not because He does not know what is in a person, but to reveal to the person what is in them.

In Exodus 20:20 (NKJV)
[20] And Moses said to the people, “Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin.”

Deuteronomy 8:2 (NKJV)
[2] “And you shall remember that the LORD your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.

God uses temptations and trials in our lives to reveal what is in our hearts. God is not trying to destroy people, but rather reveal what is in each person. Then He blesses according to the choice each person makes.

Hezekiah is an example of God testing a person to see what is in his heart.

2 Chronicles 32:31 (NKJV)
[31] However, regarding the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, whom they sent to him to inquire about the wonder that was done in the land, God withdrew from him, in order to test him, that He might know all that was in his heart.

God is more interested in our heart condition than anything else. God wants our love and devotion. He wants us to live without pride. To reveal what is in a person, God must use a method of testing. Only then will our true nature be revealed.

God knows how wicked the heart is and how easy it is for a person to be proud. So, He does only what He can do and that is allow circumstances to present themselves in a way that will result in us revealing where we are internally.

This is why James 1:4 communicates, “But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing”.

The word patience in the Greek is (Strong’s 5281) ὑπομονή hupómónē, hoop-om-on-ay'; cheerful (or hopeful) endurance, constancy. :--enduring, patience, patient continuance (waiting).

We are to endure consistently any trial while being cheerful or hopeful. It is a constant stance of positivity, believing that God will not leave your side and is in control of the whole situation. When we patiently endure testings and trials that God allows. We show that we are mature and willing to live holy. True holiness is walking in pure humility. Not taking matters into our own hands, but letting the Holy Spirit lead us through every situation.

Living a life following Jesus, yielding to the Holy Spirit, is not easy. It takes diligence and persistent effort. It is the willingness to respond to any situation correctly, just like Jesus. Not in weakness, but in humility. Strong devotion to God that reflects we truly follow Jesus.
