PROPHECY:

Thus Says The LORD,

My love I give to you. Unconditional, without expectation of receiving anything in return. You do not need to do anything to receive My love. I created you by My love, to have a relationship with Me. There is nothing about you I dislike. I created you in My image. I saw all sin you could commit and chose to love.

I know your mistakes and see your future. I know your going out and your coming in. I have chosen, before you were born, to stand by you. To walk with you. To hold you by My righteous right hand. There is nothing you can do to remove My love. You are created for Me, by Me, for My glory.

You are special and desired. I sought you out, desired you. I have sent My word to you, for you to know Me. When you did not perceive Me, or even thought of Me. I still send you My word, I sent you My love. I desired you to hear of Me to know Me as your God. I desire you and am jealous for you.

There is no one that will love you more than Me. There is no one that will give everything for you. Who will make themselves of no reputation, to ensure you are free from bondage and shame. I ask that you turn to Me and seek Me. I desire you to know Me, the God of creation. I desire you to understand who I Am, as I Am.

If you will seek Me, desire Me. Make Me your focus, you will know by My Holy Spirit, My love.

Says The LORD.

MESSAGE:

Before we can ever perceive God’s love. We must first know our own sinfulness. The reason is simple. When we understand our position and that we are rejected without mercy. Then we can begin to understand the love of God. We were born in sin, in need of a savior, without hope of redemption, until Jesus’ sacrifice.

We read in Ephesians 2:12-13 (NKJV): [12] that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. [13] But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

All people are without hope apart from Jesus. Once Jesus died on the cross, all sin was forgiven. Our sinfulness led Jesus to the cross. No person can say they are without sin. For to do so, is to say there is no need for Jesus’ sacrifice. Only a deceived irrational person will admit to not having sin.

1 John 1:8 (NKJV) states: [8] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

What is sin?

Laridian English Dictionary gives the definition of sin as being, estrangement from God. Violating a law of God or a moral law.

The Greek word for sin is Strong’s G266. ἁμαρτία hamartia, ham-ar-tee'-ah;

sin (properly abstract):--offence, sin (-ful).

New Unger’s Bible Dictionary says the following. Sin (Hebrew: ḥaṭṭaʼâ; Greek: hamartia, a falling away from or missing the right path).

To understand sin, we must see the relation of law and a lawgiver. The Word of God is a law book. It is written by the Holy Spirit to communicate God’s Will. Any disobedience to the Word of God is therefore sin. Any actions performed through the character, purpose, conduct or morals of any person contradicting the expressed will of God is sin.

Sin is then any act against God, even when the action is against others or ourselves.

The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, complete being of God and the Law of God are perfectly harmonious because God is Love. This then concludes that all the commandments are love; leaving sin’s nature to be egotism and selfishness. Sin is therefore, putting self before God. Selfishness, the exaggeration of self, pride of self, and all characteristics of self-love which stand in opposition against pure love, is the basis for all disobedience and hostility towards God, as it collides with God’s law. Sin is therefore seen as one thing, disobedience against God.

If God the Father did not love us, He would not have allowed Jesus, the Son of God to die on the cross for our sin. By understanding our position of sinfulness, we can see it is only because of God’s love that we are saved, redeemed.

In 1 John 4:8 (NKJV) we read, [8] He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

Love is the nature of God. God is not tempted to do evil. There is nothing in God that leads Him, or tempts Him to not love. God does not have love; He is the essence of love. We know love, because God’s love is around us. His Holy Spirit expresses the love of God. All creation speaks of the love of God.

In 1 John 4:9-10 (NKJV) we have a pure picture of God’s love. [9] In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. [10] In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

The Greek word for propitiation is Strong’s G2434. ἱλασμός hilasmós, hil-as-mos';

atonement, that is, (concretely) an expiator. :--propitiation.

Another word used to describe propitiation is merciful. This word propitiation is used in one other place. That is 1 John 2:2 (NKJV): [2] And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.

The word propitiation describes Christ, through His death, brought forgiveness of sin by appeasing the wrath of God. Jesus’ death covered us from sin. This is why the word atonement is also connected with propitiation. God, can show mercy, atone everyone who believes and receives the sacrifice of Jesus. No matter the sin, atonement is made, propitiation is offered. Only because God is love was the wrath of God satisfied.

The Easton’s Bible Dictionary defines propitiation as a pardon for sin. Further, it is consistent with God’s character and government to pardon and bless the sinner. Propitiation does not procure his love or make him loving; it only renders it consistent for him to exercise his love towards sinners.

We see in Romans 5:8 (NKJV) it was while being in sin that Christ died for us. [8] But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

If we did not have sin, we would not need God. If we did not have God, we would not know love. To think that we could live a life without God is a mistaken belief. All things exist because of God.

We know this because of Colossians 1:15-17 (NKJV): [15] He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. [16] For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. [17] And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

God created everything for Himself. He created you and I for relationship. God wanted a close intimate relationship with all people. Love is what drove Jesus to die on the cross. Love is what brought forgiveness.

In 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NKJV) we read: [4] Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; [5] does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; [6] does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; [7] bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. [8] Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.

Jesus, endured persecution, and death for our sin to be forgiven. He chose to let love win. He did not hold sin against anyone, rather chose to let love never fail. Jesus, being God, being love, let mercy cover all sin and prove that love does win.

God's mercy proves God is love. To not see God as love, is to see Him incorrectly. We must understand love to understand God. God's nature is love, this is why, you are forgiven and loved.

In Colossians 1:13-14 (NKJV) we read: [13] He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, [14] in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

God’s willingness to save us from sin also shows His heart in not condemning us.

In Romans 8:1 (NKJV) we read: [1] There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

As we seek God, we are saying that we believe He is willing to work everything out for our Good. Romans 8:28 (NKJV): [28] And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

God is the one who is standing with us. He is the one removing condemnation and offers mercy. It is His nature to let love be known. By the Holy Spirit being in the earth. We are perceiving the love of God. Nothing can remove us from the love of God. Nothing can stop God from expressing love towards us. Even though we may feel that our sin is too great for God to forgive. It is God, who is love, that offers mercy, for the forgiveness of sin.

Our feelings and emotions will not prevent God from loving us. Nothing can stop the love of God from being known. Even when we run from God, He still allows His love to be revealed. This is because He is everywhere, therefore, His love is everywhere. No matter what happens or what we do, He will love us.

We know this because of 1 John 3:19-20 (NKJV): [19] And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. [20] For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.

Sometimes we can feel discouraged or even self-condemning because of sin. Our assurance does not rest in our feelings or emotions. Rather we have confidence in God’s word. Which is the expression of His love. God is not a man that He should lie. Every promise in the word of God is yes and amen.

We can have confidence in knowing we are at peace with God when we repent. God’s love has promised to never remember our sin. God’s love has promised to always be with us. God’s love has promised us eternal life. Our choices may have consequences, but with genuine repentance, a turning away from sin. We can be sure God will not cast us away. God is always willing to show mercy and grace.
